Fall Fashion Updates from American Eagle

Sorry about the lack of posts but I have updated my closet with a few things from American Eagle Outfitters (store and outline).

1. Ballet Flats

The first item is a pair of Patent Leather Ballet Flats for $39.50. I wanted a cute pair of flats that I could easily wear to work or for the weekend. These shoes are very cute and a little preppy.

2. Tote Bag

What can I say I love tote bags and the colors on this Dorm Tote for $24.50 are so fall cool they just caught my eye and I knew I had to get it. Very cute and has plenty of room for all my stuff.

3. Sweater

When it starts to get a little chilly I reach for a nice cozy sweater and I like this Vintage Cardigan ($49.50) because it's cozy enough but also has a nice structured look so it can double for a nice work sweater.

4. Cute Dress

This Off-Campus Dress ($49.50)is so comfortable and I love the empire waist. I just like this dress it's casual but still conservative enough for work (depending on where you work).

5. A Cute Mini Skirt

I'm a sucker for a mini skirt especially this Academy Skirt for $34.95 (sale, regular price: $44.50). I would only wear this on the weekend paired with a v-neck sweater with a button down shirt underneath or with a fitted long sleeve t-shirt.

A Sneaker With a Cause

I finally got the pictures to upload. Well, these are the Converse (RED) sneakers I wanted to show you. The PR Manager for Foot Locker was nice enough to send me a pair.

I wore them, first to the movies and I got quite a few compliments and questions asking me where I got them. The Converse (RED) sneakers can be found at either Foot Locker or LadyFoot Locker ($46.99-$51.99). I also received more compliments while grocery shopping. Guess, it kind of makes you wonder how often people are staring at your feet.

I'm not sure if you can tell from the pictures but what's written on the shoes is (RED)ESIGNED and DESI(RED).

For those who may not know, project (RED) is trying to inform and raise money to help fight AIDS in Africa. The products that display the (RED) logo will contribute a significant percentage of their sales or a portion of the profits to the Global Fund to finance AIDS programs in Africa.

Since, I got my shoes for free, I will make a donation to the Global Fund so that I can do my part to help change the world.

Enjoy the Weekend!!!

Stocking Up On Summer Shoes

The contest for the Nautica N-Series Jeans has ended. The winners will be announced this Friday.

These will probably be the last pair of shoes I will buy at least until fall. I ordered three pairs of T-Strap Sandals in black, gold and silver from Newport-News.com. They were on sale for $10.00 each. I orderd three pairs because it's a classic shoe at a great price.
I think I'm pretty set on summer shoes and don't think I'll be buying any more.

My Favorite Shoe of the Moment

It's so hard to find a really great navy shoe. Plus I have always loved the d'Orsay style. So, this is the perfect shoe at least for me, these Nina satin d'Orsay heels for $79.95. I figure I can wear these with dresses or jeans.

I just love them (if you can love a shoe) .

My Summer Accessories from Old Navy

I wanted to update my summer clothes but I realized I really don't need that many new clothes so I figure why not just buy some new accessories.

I stopped by Old Navy and bought a pair of flip-flops ($3.50), a red hobo bag ($16.50) and black and cream handbag ($19.50). My purchase total was a little over $40 (with tax) which is a great deal because you can buy one purse for that price.

Little Black Dress and Little Black Shoes

Yesterday I was really busy with researching and making phone calls. Like I promised I'm posting two items:

I have been looking for a fun little dress for a while and I found this Button Babydoll dress at Alloy ($39.50, alloy.com).

This dress was a little long on me (I'm short) so I took it to my cleaner and got it hemmed to make it a mini.

My other purchase were these pair of Two Lips "Mel" Sandals ($74.95, Nordstrom). I haven't worn them with this dress. I have worn only worn flip-flops or regular wedges.

Anyway, these shoes are black patent leather with a 4" lucite wedge heel. They are comfortable to wear.

I can justify spending this amount because I have already worn them three times. The first outfit was jeans and white button down, 2nd: black summer wrap dress and 3rd: jeans and black long sleeve t-shirt.

Plus they are in a classic style that I can wear them more than one season.

Old Navy Mini-Wedge Sandals

I went to Old Navy a couple of days ago and saw these cute little wedge sandals ($14.95 each). I bought a pair in each color because I can wear them with almost anything. During the summer I don't always want to be walking around in heels.

This a classic style so I can wear them more than one year. These will look cute with a mini skirt (I'm still trying to find one I like). Besides the cute style and affordable price I like how comfortable they are. I didn't find them rubbing against my foot but you should try them on to be sure.

Have a Great Weekend and Enjoy Memorial Day with your Family!!

Fashionable and Comfortable Wedge Sandals

I must stay out of Target, over the weekend I went there to just to buy a pair of sweat pants (I found a great pair on clearance). I also bought these Merona wedge sandals for $22.99.
What I love is the cushioned sole, which is very comfortable. These remind me of shoes that Marcia and Jan would of wore on the Brady Bunch.
Sophisticated and Retro.

Shoes: Not on my list but couldn't resist

Saturday I went with my cousin to Target, she was looking to buy some yoga pants and top and my goal was to buy the slippers I saw on clearance the other day.

But as I pass the shoe department I got a glimpse of these shoes. I really did not plan on buying a new pair of shoes but I couldn't resist.
They are the Mossimo Presta Ankle-Tie Wedges ($24.99, Target). The only thing I can do now is wait until summer to wear them. What I love is the 4" faux cork heel.

Reader's Frugal Glam Product

I received an e-mail from a reader who would like to share her Frugal Glam product.

A. D. wears Havaianas Top flip-flop ($14, havaianasus.com or for store locations). She says "they are very comfortable and one of the best flip-flops around."

After working all day in heels, A. D. changes into her favorite flip-flops and heads to the beach (she lives in CA) to relax.

If there is a Frugal Glam product that you use and you would like to share it? Just send me an e-mail: frugalglam@yahoo.com
