A Fast Weekly Read: Gossip Girl #11

I just finished reading "The Once and Future King" by Terence Hanbury White (or T. H. White) about King Arthur and now I'm moving on to "Gossip Girl #11: Don't You Forget About Me" by Cecily von Ziegesar ($8.79, Target). So far it's not too bad, it continues with the Blair, Nate and Serena triangle. This is suppose to be the last book featuring the characters Blair and Serena. Even though there is a prequel book coming out next month.

I figured this would be a nice fast read but I would not recommend these GG books to young girls not to sound all adult but there is a lot of material that they probably shouldn't read. I would just ask for your parents permission first. Don't want to recommend anything that will get you in trouble.

Great for all year round sun care: Coppertone Oil Free Sunblock

I use sunscreen all year not just during the summer and one of my favorites is Coppertone Oil free Sunblock Lotion with SPF 45 ($9.99, drugstores). According to the package, the benefits of using this product are:

* Oil-free and non-greasy so it feels fresh and clean
* Non-comedogenic so it won't clog pores or promote breakouts
* Waterproof for up to 80 minutes
* Effective in blocking damaging UVA and UVB rays
* Hypoallergenic and PABA-free
* Fragrance-free

I like it because it's not to oily and doesn't make my face look shiny or irritate it.

It's easy to use, I just spray it on after shampooing and conditioning then blow dry my hair. According to the package it's suppose to tame and smooth frizzy hair plus help protect against heat styling.

Sexy and Affordable Chiffon Top

I just ordered this sexy Chiffon Top ($28.00, Mandee.com) and I think it's perfect for day or night. I will probably pair it with jeans and a nice blazer. I think it's something unexpected for fall.

Fall Fashion Updates from American Eagle

Sorry about the lack of posts but I have updated my closet with a few things from American Eagle Outfitters (store and outline).

1. Ballet Flats

The first item is a pair of Patent Leather Ballet Flats for $39.50. I wanted a cute pair of flats that I could easily wear to work or for the weekend. These shoes are very cute and a little preppy.

2. Tote Bag

What can I say I love tote bags and the colors on this Dorm Tote for $24.50 are so fall cool they just caught my eye and I knew I had to get it. Very cute and has plenty of room for all my stuff.

3. Sweater

When it starts to get a little chilly I reach for a nice cozy sweater and I like this Vintage Cardigan ($49.50) because it's cozy enough but also has a nice structured look so it can double for a nice work sweater.

4. Cute Dress

This Off-Campus Dress ($49.50)is so comfortable and I love the empire waist. I just like this dress it's casual but still conservative enough for work (depending on where you work).

5. A Cute Mini Skirt

I'm a sucker for a mini skirt especially this Academy Skirt for $34.95 (sale, regular price: $44.50). I would only wear this on the weekend paired with a v-neck sweater with a button down shirt underneath or with a fitted long sleeve t-shirt.

Perfect for Fall: Laura Mercier Lip Evolution

This Laura Mercier Lip Evolution of Colour in Plum Suede ($28.00, lauramercier.com) is so perfect for fall because you get four different shades from a soft pink and pinkish brown for day to a rasin and mauve for night.
The unique thing about this product is it looks like eye shadow but it's actually for your lips. You would think this would feel so dry on your lips but it actually doesn't it has a slightly creamy feel to it. I like it because I can throw this in my make-up bag and not worry about carrying two different lip glosses or lip sticks in my bag.

Sorry for the busy schedule

Sorry about the lack of posts. Work kind of got a little busy but everything has slowed down and I will post some of my new fall finds.

For now take care.

My Fall Beauty Wish List: Shampoo, Conditioner and Face Mask

I don't really need to buy a lot of products but a few that have been on my Fall Wish List are:

Shampoo and Conditioner
The fall and winter can be quite harsh on my naturally dry hair. I want to try Ojon Ultra Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner ($18 and $22, sephora.com). It's for hair that is damaged, dry, dull or chemically treated.

Face Mask
I want to try a different face mask to kind of renew my skin from all the summer fun. A mask that is on my Fall Wish List is Apivita Aqua Plus Face Mask with Cucumber ($24.00, bathandbodyworks.com). This mask is suppose to invigorate and moisturize your skin.
