A Make-up Kit for the Girl on the Go by mark.

Sorry for the late post, very busy today and I'm getting ready to go out of town for the weekend.

But, I wanted to mention this great little make-up kit I bought from mark. It's called the mark. Sun Kissed Color Kit ($22.00, meetmark.com). That's a great deal because you get five great products plus mints and a connector to connect the lip gloss and mints for a night out. And all of this for only $22.00, which is the price of some luxury nail polishes.

The kit included:

* mark Kissink Lip Tinitmarker in Red Siren (apply this under clear lip gloss for a nice shine)
* mark Glow Baby Glow Hook Up Lip Gloss in Player
* mark Scanda-Lash Hook Up Mascara in Brownout
* mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Nude
* mark I-Glimmer Illuminating Eye Color in Bronzed
* mark Tangerine Hook Up Mints
* mark Hool Up Connector

The good thing is I didn't really have to sort through my make-up, I just put this kit in a make-up bag and tossed it into my bag. All the color are subtle and just a hint of bronze. I think I'm good on buying make-up for a while.

Well, I have to get ready to go.

Enjoy the Weekend!!! Have Fun!!!!

Mark. Helps Your Eyes Shimmer

I have been searching for a sparkly, iridescent eye shadow and I found one in the mark. catalog. I ordered this mark. I-Glimmer Illuminating Eye Color ($6.00, avon.com)
It blends into the skin with a sheer wash of iridescent shine. I like the it starts off creamy and turns into a powder. It's worth the six dollars because the quality of the eye shadow is quite good.

5-minute Face for Dinner with Friends

Last night, I was going out to dinner with some friends but I didn't have time to go home. I also didn't have my make-up bag with me.

Anyway, Luckly there was a drugstore on my way and I quickly bought eyeshadow, lip gloss and mascara. It took less than 5 minutes to look pretty.

I bought the Maybelline Shadow Stylist in Sophisticated Wine ($5.99, drugstores). I love the spongy applicator tip because I used the tip to line my eyes and the side to put the powder on. It's a pretty good product and it's easy to use.

The lip gloss I bought was Bonne Bell Lip Lites Lip Gloss in Cappucino ($3.50, drugstores). It's a great nude lip gloss with an amazing flavor. The color complimented the eyeshadow rather well. It goes on smooth and doesn't feel sticky. I use to buy Bonne Bell when I was younger maybe I'll try more of these lip glosses.

The last thing I bought was Cover Girl Triple Mascara in Black ($5.99, drugstores). This was easy to put on even under time constraints (I don't like to be late) and it did not irritate my eyes.

Tickle Me Pink

What is it about the color Pink the makes your skin look so pretty? I bought this beautiful Arissa Compact Eyeshadow in Tickle Me ($3.75) on drugstore.com. This is a new brand to me because I have never heard of it, but I thought I would give it a try.

The darker pink has a nice vibrant color and the lighter pink adds just a hint of color. My brown eyes seem to sparkle a little bit.

I like to try new products and plus I couldn't pass up such a great deal. The shades blend really easily. I find the quality of the product to be good and not chalky.

It doesn't irritant eyes which is very good (that is my #1 concern).

I'm so happy it's Friday. It feels like it's been a long week. Looking forward to the weekend.

How to look like a CoverGirl?

Being the Frugal Glam girl that I am, I like to buy eye shadow in 2-4 shades in a case.

You have more options to play with. You can use either one, two, three or all four shades (don't forget to blend well) to create beautiful eyes.

I like to buy CoverGirl Eye Enhancer Quad ($4.49, drugstores), if you do the math that's $1.12 per shadow and that's a pretty good deal.

This eye shadow is very good quality powder that blends easily and is available in several kits in the Cool, Warm or Neutral family.

Bonus Tip: Use a eye shadow brush to apply shadow. It's better for blending (unless you are a fan of the sponge applicator, then never mind).

Perfect product for smokey eyes

I love to try new products. So, when I found Pantina Eyeshadow Duo ($5.50, drugstore.com) online, I figured why not give it a try.

What I liked about the eyeshadow is the ease of application plus the pretty vibrant colors. Also, the colors were easy to blend.

Pantina Eyeshadow duo is available in three color combinations. These are perfect for creating a non-traditional smokey eye look. The surprise was the cute and sleek magnetic case.

A great new Frugal Glam product. Why not give it a try?

Crease No More

I just don't understand it, sometimes I put on eyeshadow and it stays and another day it just disappear. However, I just found something that will work to keep my eyeshadow on, L'Oreal De-Crease Eyeshadow base ($8, drugstores).

I love this product, because I can put it on under powder, gloss or cream shadows. You can also wear it alone as eyeshadow if you prefer.

This product is worth the money. Truly Frugal Glam.
