Behold, The Power of The Pomegranate

I like to buy gift sets or small bottles of products because not only does it saves money but it also saves space in my bathroom. I saw this Murad The Power Of Pomegranate Set ($35.00, sephora.com) mentioned in a magazine and thought I would give it a try.

I love the scent because it's not too overpowering (I adore citrus scents). I don't like really bold scents. Anyway, there are three things in this set: a body wash, body polish (exfoliator) and whipped body cream. I am quite glad I bought this set because I got a chance to try a different product (without buyers remorse and huge bottles taking over my bathroom shelf).

I like all the products but especially the body polish it made my skin soft then couple it with the body cream it felt really soft.

Moisturizing Body Wash for Dry Skin

Another product that I updated was my body wash. I realized that I had quite a few almost empty bottles in the cabinet and after tossing those I had one left. I decided to try Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash for Dry Skin ($7.99, drugstores) because I wanted to try something different.

This body wash cleansed my skin without living any soapy film and it made my skin nice and soft. Since the weather is starting to get cooler this is a product I really need because I have dry skin. It has a soft scent but you have to smell it for yourself to see if you like it.

I'm going to try to stick to my new "Less is More" motto and not buy another product until they're empty.

Travel Products that will make you Bloom

I found Bloom Cosmetics one day while I was searching for travel beauty products. I decided to buy the Bloom Body Care Pamper Pack ($12.00, parkleigh.com) to give it a try. Each pack contains 2 sachets of each product:

Body Cleanser: Lavender and Grapefruit
Body Scrub: Citrus Blend, Peppermint and Pettigrain
Body Cream: Mandarin, Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang

I like the scent of each product and they have a cute illustration on each pack. Each product was easy to use and there was a pretty good amount in each packet.

Reader's Frugal Glam Product: Philosophy

Tracey75 likes to use Philosophy's Cinnamon Buns ($16.00, Sephora) because she saves money using it. She use it as shampoo, body wash and bath gel. Also, she saves space in her tiny bathroom because she doesn't need to buy three different products.

If you have a Frugal Glam product you would like to share please e-mail me at: frugalglam@yahoo.com. Send me the product's name, price, where you can purchase it and why it works for you.

Sweet Smelling Body Wash

My latest obession is the Healing Garden Energy Therapy Body Wash in Apple and Acai ($6.59, Walgreens). This smells so good and it makes my skin feel soft. It lathers up pretty good and even though it contains moisturizer I still like to apply lotion afterwards. I like to keep my skin soft. I like to try new products to keep my morning routine a little fresh.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Exfoliating Body Wash

The product I am reviewing is the 2nd product I tried from Maryam's Soap Nook.
The Exfoliating Body Wash with Jojoba Beads and Kukui Nut Oil ($10.00 for 8 oz., maryam-soap-nook.com).
The body wash lathered easily and didn't leave any residue on my skin. I could feel the little beads go over my skin but they were not hard or scratchy. After washing, my skin felt really soft and smooth.
There was no overpowering fragrance. The scent I received was Provence which was very light and airy. There are 18 additional scents available if Provence is not your cup of tea.
I also like to use it on my hands instead of my traditional hand soap because it makes my hands feel smooth and makes the hand lotion absorb right into my skin.

Another way to get your vitamins

So far this winter has been really cold and usually my skin would start to feel dry from all the extra indoor heat. Since I've been using ST. Ives Mineral Therapy Body Wash ($3.99, drugstores), my skin doesn't feel dry or irritated.
It's a very rich moisturizing body wash that contains potassium and iron to rejuvenate and moisturize the skin. It might not be in a glamorus bottle but as long as your skin looks glamorus that's all that matters to me.

Mint Tea not just for drinking

A body wash that I love to use occasionally is the Korres Mint Tea Showergel ($11.00, sephora.com).

It doesn't take long for this creamy showergel to become foamy. It's moisturizing and energizing. The scent reminds me of a summer day sitting outside drinking ice cold ice tea.

It's a very good product but the price might deter a few people. This showergel is worth a little splurge every now and then.

From the bottle: Active Aloe juice, rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc and antioxidant enzymes, enhances the immune system of the skin.

Affordable Cashmere

Maybe you can't afford a cashmere sweater but you can afford Softsoap Pure Cashmere Body Wash ($5.99, drugstores).

After using this body wash my skin felt so soft, actually baby skin soft. The cashmere extracts and moisturizing cream is what makes the skin soft.

This is truly a luxury product, however you don't have to go to a department store to buy it.

Why not pamper yourself?

How to wake up in the morning?

Even though I am the ultimate morning person, sometimes I still need that extra something to jolt me out of my sleepiness. On those days, I like to use Clean & Clear Morning Burst Body Wash ($4.99, drugstores).

Not only are you getting clean, you're also getting that "wake-up" scent of citrus. Plus, it's nice and foamy.

The active ingredients are Vitamin C and Ginseng, which are suppose to energize and invigorate you.

Therapy for only $1.99

Suave products have really improved over the years and they are no longer seen as cheap and poor quality.

I buy this Suave Skin Therapy Cocoa & Shea Butter Body Wash ($1.99, drugstores) all the time. It's really rich and creamy, perfect for those who have dry or extra dry skin.
