My Summer Accessories from Old Navy

I wanted to update my summer clothes but I realized I really don't need that many new clothes so I figure why not just buy some new accessories.

I stopped by Old Navy and bought a pair of flip-flops ($3.50), a red hobo bag ($16.50) and black and cream handbag ($19.50). My purchase total was a little over $40 (with tax) which is a great deal because you can buy one purse for that price.

My 200th Post: The Cutest Tote Bag Ever

This is my 200th posts. That's so cool.

Anyway, I find that there's nothing cuter than Hello Kitty. I have adored her since I was a little girl. Which I why this is my favorite tote bag ($25.00, hellokitty.com). I don't know if you can tell from the picture but Hello Kitty is sequined and so is her name on the opposite side. This bag is roomy and I can carry a good amount in it.

I feel I can still be a grown-up and hold on to a little bit of my childhood.

My bag of the moment.....

The bag of the moment for me is this Wellsely bag from Alloy.com for $24.50.

It's so cute and different. I can carry all the neccessary things I need. It's a great little bag. I don't like to carry the same purse that everyone else is carrying.

How to Shine at a party

Saturday, I went to a holiday cocktail party and wore a classic little black dress.

I carried my favorite Samantha clutch/hand bag from Nina Shoes ($59.95, ninashoes.com) that I got as a gift.

I received a lot of compliments and was asked "Where did you buy that?" throughout the night.

The only thing I would probably change is the logo lining. It's not a big deal, I'm just not big on logos. I love carrying it, I feel so retro chic.

Perfect for any gathering

Since the holidays are upon us that means a ton of party invites are also just around the corner.

While out and about roaming during the shopping season I found this cute Sequin Clutch at the Gap ($16.50).

I like it because it's very roomy and I can fit all my neccessities in it plus the heart shape zipper charm.

It adds just a little touch of charm to any outfit casual or formal.

Reader's Frugal Glam Product

Here is a review from a reader:

Sammie was looking for a cute winter tote bag. She bought this American Eagle Sparkle Tote for $24.50. She said, "I wanted something fun and sparkly that I could take to school and put all of my stuff in."

"I don't always have time to run back to my locker between classes so I just put my books for my next class in my bag".

I'm sure this bag could work for ever stage in someone's life whether you're going to school, work or stay at home mom.

Tote for all seasons

Tote bags are not just for the summer. During the fall and winter you have to lug around your hat, scarves, gloves, etc and they don't seem to fit in our purses.

I got hooked on the Beach Tote Bag from Something Greek ($19.95, call 1-800-247-3352 to order without Greek Letters, somethinggreek.com) while in college. Sorority girls like to carry their bags as well as promote their sorority.

Even though I have graduated from college I still like to purchase this bag (now without the sorority letters). It can hold so much and It's very strong and durable.

This tote is similar to the Lands' End and J.Crew tote bag but for less.

Sophistication on a budget

A few weeks ago, I was out looking for a new wallet. I wanted to find something sophisticated and reasonably priced but I could not find anything I really liked (I'm a little picky).

So after walking around the mall, I came home and searched the internet. I found what I was looking for at Old Navy. This Croc Embossed long wallet for only $9.50 (oldnavy.com). I also like the non-traditional printed lining inside the wallet.

Another use I found was I was short on time, but I needed a clutch. So, I removed my checkbook and debit card, added cash and I.D. and Voila I have a cute little clutch.

This is truly Frugal Glam.
