Kiehl's Water Less Dog Shampoo

I like to spoil my dog but not in the dress them up kind of way. I like to make sure she's well taken care of with healthy dog food, exercise, grooming, etc. and Kiehl's has great dog line I like to buy from time to time. In between the grooming, I like to spray Kiehl's Spray-N-Play Cleansing Spritz ($12.00, kiehls.com).

It's quick and easy, just following the directions on the bottle which are: For best results, spray 4 to 6 inches from your pet’s coat. Spray evenly until hair is damp, avoiding their face and eyes. Massage well until a light foam appears. Dry with a soft absorbent towel. For a healthy shine and appearance, gently brush or comb through.

Reader's Frugal Glam Product: Mascara

This reader's review is from Claire a 20something living in the UK. One of her favorite mascaras is Aveda Mascara Plus Rose (£10.00 or $12.00 from aveda.com in the US) and she likes it because it gives her a natural day look which is great for work. It also doesn't irritate her eyes but makes her lashes look longer and fuller.

Two Moisturizers: one Regular and one Strawberries & Cream

I updated my lotions by purchasing Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Body Moisturizer Lotion ($8.69, drugstores) and American Girl Take Your Vitamins Daily Body Lotion in Strawberries & Cream ($7.50, bathandbodyworks.com). I bought two because I wanted a regular moisturizing one and another that had a nice scent.

I like the Neutrogena lotion because it's very moisturizing and absorbs easily into the skin. My skin doesn't feel sticky or greasy. I bought the American Girl lotion because I love the scent of strawberries and quite unexpectantly it's actually a very moisturizing lotion.

Moisturizing Body Wash for Dry Skin

Another product that I updated was my body wash. I realized that I had quite a few almost empty bottles in the cabinet and after tossing those I had one left. I decided to try Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash for Dry Skin ($7.99, drugstores) because I wanted to try something different.

This body wash cleansed my skin without living any soapy film and it made my skin nice and soft. Since the weather is starting to get cooler this is a product I really need because I have dry skin. It has a soft scent but you have to smell it for yourself to see if you like it.

I'm going to try to stick to my new "Less is More" motto and not buy another product until they're empty.

Cover Girl's Precise Eye Liner

My schedule was so fast paced last week which kind of left me with only a little bit of time to post. This week seems a lot normal paced. I will answer all the e-mails that I recieved last week.

Following last weeks cleaning and organizing, I updated some of my make up and will post my new choices throughout the week. The first product I bought was Cover Girl Line Exact Eye Liner ($5.99, drugstores).

It's great because you can use the tip to create a thin or thick line. This doesn't irritate my eyes which is very good because I wear contacts. This liner goes on smooth without any snags and it dries very quickly so try not to make a lot of mistakes, practice first if your not use to using liquid liner.

Frugal Glam Tip: Less is More

Last night, I cleaned and organized my make-up and decided to toss any old products and any products that are just taking up space. I also went through all my hair care products and tossed the ones that were also just taking up space.

After cleaning and organizing, I decided to only purchase shampoo and conditioner once the bottles are empty and stop buying so many different ones. I don't want my bathroom to look like an aisle in Target. I want a nice organized bathroom. I also went through my bath and body products to toss any I didn't want any more.

The old phrase: "Less is More" is really true. I know following this phrase will save me more money in the long run and leave me with a much roomier bathroom.

What I'm reading and using on my hair and nails

I didn't have time to post the other days. So, I thought I would just include three things in this one.

I always try to keep my nails healthy and right now I'm using Sally Hansen Instant Strength Calcium Gel Nail Fortifier ($4.99, drugstores). I like to use it during my weekly manicures to keep my nails strong.

I have naturally dry hair and sometimes I need to use a deep conditioner or special treatment. A professional hair stylist suggested I try Jingles Intensive Treatment
Reconstructor Revitalizer
($11.95 for 8oz, webbeautystore.com). I was a little reluctant because I don't always like to try new products on my hair but I thought I give it a try.

It's very rich and creamy. I left it on my hair for about 10 minutes before I rinsed it. My hair felt clean and with no waxy residue left behind. My hair felt soft and healthy. This is probably something I would use every once in a while because even though my hair is naturally dry it's quite healthy.

I normally read a couple of books at a time and right now I'm reading Emma by Jane Austen. I figure since Becoming Jane will be out Friday I thought I would reread one of the classic novels by Jane Austen. I love the book Emma because it follows the loveable busy body Emma thoughout her life and experiences. If you have some time I would reccommend reading this book. The book shown above is not the one I have, the one I have is an old hardcover edition that I couldn't find on-line to show you.

Travel Products that will make you Bloom

I found Bloom Cosmetics one day while I was searching for travel beauty products. I decided to buy the Bloom Body Care Pamper Pack ($12.00, parkleigh.com) to give it a try. Each pack contains 2 sachets of each product:

Body Cleanser: Lavender and Grapefruit
Body Scrub: Citrus Blend, Peppermint and Pettigrain
Body Cream: Mandarin, Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang

I like the scent of each product and they have a cute illustration on each pack. Each product was easy to use and there was a pretty good amount in each packet.

Reader's Frugal Glam Product: Philosophy

Tracey75 likes to use Philosophy's Cinnamon Buns ($16.00, Sephora) because she saves money using it. She use it as shampoo, body wash and bath gel. Also, she saves space in her tiny bathroom because she doesn't need to buy three different products.
